Quantity Surveyor

KL Talent Solutions are working in partnership with one of the largest home builders in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the FTSE 100 listed companies commercial teams whilst learning new skills and releasing your potential. This client delivers around 15,000 homes a year so as a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the costs of construction projects. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, analysing project costs, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Your expertise in quantity surveying will ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high quality standards. Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyse cost estimates for new build homes projects - Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities - Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals - Monitor project costs and provide cost control advice - Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors - Collaborate with project managers/site managers to ensure projects stay within budget - Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities Experience: - Understanding HSE Building regulations and legal guidelines - Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the house building industry - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations - Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and negotiation skills What's in it for you? - Competitive Salary - Company car or car allowance - Contributory pension - Life cover - Healthcare - Competitive bonus If you have a passion for construction management and the experience to match we encourage you to apply today!
