We’re working with a well-established international insurance brokerage to recruit a Surety Broker into a newly created position within its growing international offering.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious Surety professional to take on a broad, commercially focused role, combining hands-on broking/placement with business development across multiple international markets.

Working closely with established teams across the business, you’ll have the autonomy to develop new relationships, capitalise on existing opportunities and help shape the future growth of the Surety offering globally.

The Role

• Develop the international Surety offering across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
• Manage and place a range of Surety risks into the insurance and reinsurance markets, including Direct and Facultative business.
• Work closely with international colleagues to service existing enquiries and develop new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients, insurers and international offices to support the growth of the portfolio.
• Handle a broad range of Surety products, including Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Bonds, Retention Bonds, Maintenance/Warranty Bonds and Customs/Tax Bonds.
• Operate as the dedicated Surety resource in London, with support from an established international network.
• Travel internationally to meet clients and colleagues.

About You

• Experience in Surety broking is preferred, although candidates with a relevant Trade Credit background may also be considered.
• Comfortable balancing technical broking and placement responsibilities with business development.
• Commercially minded, with the confidence to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Entrepreneurial in approach, with the motivation to help develop an international offering.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a newly created position.
• Willing to travel internationally as required.
• Additional language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
