About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Nottingham’s Institute for Professional and Work-based Learning at a pivotal stage of growth. You will play a key role in supporting the expansion of our Apprenticeship and Professional Development portfolio by delivering targeted, insight-led B2B marketing activity.
Working as part of a collaborative and deliveryâfocused employer engagement team, you will be central to supporting the endâtoâend employer (B2B) journey, from initial engagement and lead generation through to nurturing, conversion and ongoing pipeline development. This is not solely a campaignâled or brand marketing role; instead, the focus is on executing highâquality, targeted activity that drives employer engagement and supports B2B recruitment outcomes.
On a typical day, you will contribute to the delivery of multiâchannel B2B marketing activity, including email campaigns, digital content and targeted outreach aligned to priority sectors and audiences. You will support segmentation, list management and prospecting, help coordinate lead capture and tracking, and ensure timely and effective followâup activity in collaboration with recruitment and employer engagement colleagues. You will also assist in developing marketing assets and messaging that support employer decisionâmaking and progression through the pipeline.
A key part of the role is maintaining a strong link between marketing activity and recruitment performance. You will monitor engagement and conversion data, support reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement of the B2B journey, ensuring a consistent, insightâled approach across all touchpoints.
You will also support the delivery of online and inâperson events designed to engage prospective and existing employer partners. This includes coordinating promotional activity, overseeing registrations and followâup communications, and ensuring events contribute effectively to lead generation and relationship development. Through these touchpoints, you will help build and nurture employer relationships, supporting progression through the B2B pipeline and enhancing the overall employer experience.
You will join a friendly, integrated team that works closely with academic colleagues and central services to support sustainable apprenticeship growth. Collaboration is central to the role, with a strong emphasis on aligning marketing delivery to recruitment priorities and pipeline needs.
We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in marketing who is looking to develop further in a B2B environment. In particular, you will bring:
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns, ideally within a B2B or recruitment context
- An understanding of lead generation, nurturing and conversion principles
- Familiarity with dataâdriven marketing approaches
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in campaign delivery
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- A proactive, solutionsâfocused approach
Further details can be found in the role profile.
We offer a supportive and rewarding working environment, including:
- A hybrid working arrangement with the blended approach of home and office working each week
- Generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus standard bank holidays and five university closure days including closure between Christmas and New Year.
- We are committed to staff development through the provision of training, continued support, and career progression opportunities
- You will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes and many more. To find out more about what we can offer you, follow the link to ourâ¯benefits website
