We have an exciting opportunity to join our diverse and values led organisation as a Night Porter at our Young Person's service.

Join us as a Young Person's Night Porter at our Branching Out service in Newark and be a reassuring presence when it matters most. At the heart of our Young Person's Service, you'll create a safe, secure and welcoming environment throughout the night whilst helping the service run smoothly. You'll provide vital overnight support, protect the building and respond confidently and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

About the Role

As our Night Porter no shift is the same, you will be involved in directly responding to and helping our young people with any issues or concerns, they may have, whilst also managing the site, conducting safety checks and operating surveillance of the building.

This position is ideal for someone who remains calm under pressure, is confident working alone and is committed to providing a safe environment for vulnerable young people.

This could look like:

Carrying out regular health and safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire safety equipment.
Managing visitor and resident sign-in procedures and maintain accurate records.
Recording and report repairs, accidents, incidents, complaints, anti-social behaviour and potential risks in line with procedures.
Maintaining accurate logs and provide effective handovers to colleagues.
