Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Pontypool, Torfaen, South Wales / NP4
Salary: £120 per day minimum
Employment Type: Full time - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
Job Description
As a Cover Supervisor based in Pontypool, Torfaen, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning across a secondary school environment. This is a flexible opportunity suited to confident individuals who can step into the classroom, maintain a positive atmosphere, and keep students engaged with pre-planned work.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor based in Pontypool, your daily duties will include:

Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, following pre-prepared lesson plans
Maintaining positive behaviour management and creating a calm, productive classroom environment
Supporting pupils’ engagement and learning, including assisting learners with additional needs where required

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you will need:

A minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children/young people (professional, voluntary, or educational)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence leading groups

Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain) and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (or willingness to register)
