Reporting directly to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager will take overall responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of a £200 million major infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
The Role:
- Take full responsibility for successful project delivery, working collaboratively with the Project Leadership Team to ensure alignment with client objectives, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and business goals.
- Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, industry standards, statutory requirements and company SHEQ policies across all site activities.
- Own and drive the project programme, managing critical path activities, engineering interfaces, site operations, resources and commissioning requirements to achieve key milestones and delivery targets.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager to control project costs, manage forecasts, risks, variations and change control, while identifying opportunities for value engineering and improved commercial performance.
- Act as the key interface with the client, site operations and external stakeholders, while overseeing subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolve delivery challenges, maintain robust project controls and reporting, and drive KPI performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience managing large-scale EPC projects, ideally within UK high-pressure infrastructure, heavy engineering, piping or process-led projects in regulated, safety-critical environments.
