About the Role

We are currently looking for a certified and experienced Slinger / Signaller to join a busy residential construction site in Linmere. Key Responsibilities

As a Slinger / Signaller, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Rigging Loads: Safely and securely attaching loads (such as roof trusses, bricks, and steel) using the correct lifting accessories like chains, slings, and shackles.

  • Directing the Crane: Communicating clearly with the crane or telehandler operator using standard hand signals or two-way radios to guide the load safely to its destination.

  • Inspecting Equipment: Performing daily visual checks on all lifting gear to ensure it is safe, undamaged, and within its Safe Working Load (SWL).

  • Managing Exclusion Zones: Ensuring that no other trades or personnel enter the lifting zone or walk underneath suspended loads.

  • Site Support: Assisting with other general site duties or banking vehicles during periods when the crane is not in use.
