Enjoy women’s health and want more of it in your working week? Lorenzo is recruiting a Locum GP for a friendly Huddersfield practice with a strong focus on contraception, menopause care and family health.

Key Details:
– Location: Huddersfield
– Role: Locum GP
– Rate: £700 per day
– Availability: Flexible availability across 3–5 days
– Working pattern: Weekday sessions, with a mix of general surgeries and women’s health appointments
– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, with longer slots for menopause and contraception consultations
– Clinical system: SystmOne
– Start date: Flexible start date to suit you

Key Responsibilities:
– Running general surgeries for a diverse, family-heavy patient list
– Seeing patients for contraception advice, menopause reviews and HRT management
– Supporting post-natal checks and routine women’s health follow-ups
– Working alongside the practice nurses, a women’s health lead GP and the local PCN team

About the Opportunity:
This practice has invested in women’s health and it shows – appointments are longer where they need to be, templates are well set up on SystmOne, and there’s a lead GP on hand if you want to discuss a case. Coil fitting experience is welcome but not essential, as general surgeries make up a good share of each day. The atmosphere is warm and collaborative, and locums are included in practice learning sessions. Huddersfield is well placed for Leeds, Manchester and the M62, and there’s a genuine opportunity here for regular, ongoing work.

Requirements:
– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
– Right to work in the UK
– Appropriate medical indemnity cover
– Relevant GP/primary care experience
– Up-to-date compliance
