About the role
Key responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice on a wide range of housing management matters.
- Possession proceedings, injunctions and anti-social behaviour cases.
- Tenancy enforcement, tenancy breaches and debt recovery matters.
- Advising on allocations, succession, mutual exchanges and tenancy management issues.
- Supporting operational housing teams with pragmatic, risk-based legal advice.
- Managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
- Strong housing law experience gained within a Housing Association, ALMO or social housing organisation.
- Proven experience handling housing management litigation and landlord and tenant matters.
- Comfortable managing a busy caseload independently.
- Able to build effective relationships with housing officers and senior stakeholders.
The role:
- Fully remote working.
- Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension.
- Competitive hourly rate of £60-£65 per hour.
