About the role

Maintenance / Service Desk Coordinator

Alderley Edge | Monday-Friday | Hybrid Working | Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Maintenance Coordinator, Service Desk Administrator or Contracts Support Coordinator who understands how maintenance operations work?

We're recruiting for a fast-growing, premium property organisation with an extensive portfolio of high-quality residential buildings across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, evolving maintenance service desk team, playing a key role in keeping buildings running smoothly and ensuring maintenance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

The Role

You'll be the central point of contact between property teams, maintenance engineers and external contractors, taking ownership of maintenance requests from initial reporting right through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing maintenance requests and work orders through a CAFM system.
  • Prioritising, allocating and coordinating maintenance jobs.
  • Scheduling engineers and liaising with external contractors.
  • Proactively chasing outstanding works and ensuring service levels are achieved.
  • Coordinating quotations, purchase orders and contractor approvals.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring accurate system records.

What We're Looking For

We're specifically looking for someone who understands maintenance operations and has worked in a similar coordination or service desk environment.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience as a Maintenance Coordinator, Service Desk Administrator, Repairs Scheduler, Contracts Coordinator or similar within maintenance, facilities management, building services or property maintenance.
  • Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems such as Fixflo, INVIDA, Planon, Concept or similar.
  • A clear understanding of the full maintenance process, from receiving and prioritising requests through to arranging repairs, managing contractors and closing completed jobs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuinely service-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude with the confidence to take ownership and get things done.

What's On Offer?

  • Monday to Friday - no weekends!
  • 40-hour working week, with an additional 1-hour unpaid lunch break each day (typically 8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm or 9am-6pm).
  • Hybrid working - 4 days in the Alderley Edge office, 1 day from home.
  • Free breakfast and lunch when working in the office.
  • Modern, welcoming Head Office environment.
  • Excellent opportunities for development and career progression.
  • Join a growing team where your ideas and contributions will genuinely make a difference.

If you're an experienced maintenance service desk professional who enjoys coordinating people, solving problems and delivering excellent service, we'd love to hear from you.
