Summary:

Gadd Group is a leader in hardscape landscaping and nature play construction, delivering high-quality playscapes and outdoor environments, primarily in childcare centres across Australia.

We are growing fast and are looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Skilled Labourer to join our team based on the Gold Coast.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, carpentry or general construction who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

The position involves a mix of local Gold Coast work and regional and interstate projects, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble custom nature play structures and install modular playground equipment.
• Carry out excavation, base preparation, footings, drainage and concrete works.
• Assist in constructing decking, paving and other hardscape elements.
• Assist with setting out works using laser levels and reading construction plans.
• Assist in planting, mulching and irrigation installations.
• Operate construction tools, machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with material preparation, site setup and general construction activities.
• Work alongside Supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are correctly maintained and stored.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Assist with on-site problem-solving and various construction tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hands-on experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, carpentry or a related construction trade.
• Strong practical construction skills and confidence using tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and follow construction specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to take initiative.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel for regional and interstate projects.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Tickets & Licences:

• Blue Card / Working with Children (Essential).
• White Card (Required).
• Current driver's licence.
• Additional machinery tickets, trade qualifications or construction licences highly regarded.
