About the role
Data & Automation Specialist
Location: County Antrim
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 for more experienced hires
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
The Role
We are seeking a Data & Automation Specialist to improve operational efficiency and business reporting through data analysis, automation and process improvement for well known organisation in County Antrim.
You will work with teams across the business to identify opportunities to reduce manual tasks, develop automated workflows and provide useful insights through reporting and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Build, maintain and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Integrate data from sources including Excel, SQL, PDFs, server folders and accounting systems.
- Work with departments to identify automation opportunities and implement practical solutions.
- Support data exports, transformation and preparation for analysis.
- Maintain and improve existing reporting and automation processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the business.
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
- Experience using Power Automate or similar automation tools.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an understanding of formulas, basic scripting or coding logic.
- A practical approach to problem solving and the ability to learn new tools independently.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Copilot to support coding and automation.
- Exposure to project management.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
Desirable
- Experience with SQL databases and data integration.
- Previous experience delivering reporting or automation in a commercial environment.
- A STEM degree, such as Mathematics, Physics or Engineering, is beneficial but not essential.
