About the role

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to join Arm's CE Quality organization and to shape the future of quality across our semiconductor hardware and software products!

You will lead a team of Quality Managers and engineers, working with talented people across Arm to solve complex engineering challenges, improve product quality, and make our ways of working simpler and more effective.

We value curiosity, fresh ideas, collaboration, and people who enjoy making things happen. You'll have the freedom to challenge existing practices, explore new approaches, and help us build an environment where everyone takes ownership of quality and enjoys working together.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow our global Quality Engineering team, supporting team members' development, setting priorities, and building strong relationships across our worldwide Engineering organization.
  • Work alongside hardware and software Engineering teams, providing independent, risk-based quality oversight, identifying risks, and supporting decisions throughout development, verification, release, and maintenance.
  • Help teams solve engineering quality problems, facilitating bug reviews, root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality circles, and lessons learned. We want to prevent problems, not just react to them!
  • Improve how we measure and manage quality, conducting proactive assessments, analysing defect trends and customer feedback, and turning data into useful insights that help Engineering leaders make decisions.
  • Bring Engineering communities together, sharing knowledge, improving collaboration, and helping teams adopt effective practices across requirements, design, verification, and product delivery.
  • Explore smarter ways of working, using automation, AI, and data analytics to simplify quality activities, reduce manual effort, and help teams focus on what matters.
  • Connect the dots across products and engineering teams, identifying common quality risks, recurring problems, and opportunities for systemic improvement, and helping Engineering leaders focus on the actions that will make the biggest difference.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in engineering quality management within semiconductor hardware development (RTL/VLSI, IP, SoC) or complex software development, with a good understanding of semiconductor and software development lifecycles.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing Quality Managers or technical engineering teams, ideally across different locations.
  • Ability to influence decisions and drive improvements across teams without relying on formal authority, while building trusted relationships with Engineering leaders.
  • Practical experience with engineering quality methods, including defect management, root cause analysis, quality assessments, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to ask difficult questions, challenge ideas constructively, and work with others to find solutions.

Nice to Have

We would also welcome experience in semiconductor productization, hardware and software integration, functional safety, cybersecurity, or automotive quality.

Knowledge of engineering development frameworks, quality management systems, and the use of data analytics, automation, or AI to improve engineering practices would be valuable.

Additional Information

Please note that a relocation package (including visa sponsorship support) is available for this role, for candidates who require it.
