Role: Technical Business Analyst - AI/Data TransformationLocation: Remote, UKContract: 6 months (likely extension)Rate: £350-£400 (Outside IR35) Key Skills:AIData TransformationUATData Governance The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tech Business Analyst to join a large-scale data and AI transformation programme. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering key data initiatives. What You'll Be DoingData Validation & Quality AssuranceDefining and documenting high-level process taxonomies and the conceptual data model across affected business areasProducing detailed test scripts, scenarios and Given-When-Then acceptance criteriaRunning UAT cycles with operational SMEs, balancing programme deadlines with BAU commitments Business Adoption & Data GovernanceGathering, documenting and maintaining a central set of business definitions and taxonomy across finance and operational dataBuilding agreed definitions into BAU processes, training materials and governance documentationPartnering with operational leaders to drive adoption and maintain data standards for the long term Requirements & Technical LiaisonTurning complex business needs into clear technical specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria for Data and Engineering teamsMapping data dependencies between core platforms and wider transformation workstreamsLeading workshops with SMEs to resolve analytical blockers What We're Looking ForEssentialProven experience as a Technical BA on complex data migration, data warehousing or BI transformation projectsSolid, recent experience on data transformation programmes, from defining requirements through to business adoptionExposure to AI initiatives, such as preparing data for AI and machine learning use cases or supporting the delivery of AI-driven solutionsStrong background in designing UAT frameworks, writing test scripts, setting acceptance criteria and managing user validationHands-on experience capturing process taxonomies, mapping business definitions and building data dictionariesExcellent cross-functional communication, ideally supporting busy finance or FP&A teams through high-pressure periodsExperience in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence DesirableExperience with enterprise reporting frameworks, Common Data Models (CDM) or data warehouse buildsExposure to financial systems, SQL or BI tools such as DatabricksA recognised BA qualification (e.g. BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, IIBA CCBA/CBAP)
