Sen Teaching Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Pay: £100–£140 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

PK Education is looking for enthusiastic, caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive specialist school setting in Shrewsbury.

The school supports pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, communication difficulties and physical disabilities.

Whether you have previous SEN experience or are looking to develop your skills within specialist education, we would love to hear from you!

Your Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.

• Support children with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs.

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, adapted learning activities.

• Help pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

• Support with personal care and mobility where required.

• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.

• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.

• Willingness to learn, develop new skills and gain valuable experience.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
