About the role
Systems Lead - RF Data Link
Location: Bristol or Stevenage
Type: Contract, 12 months (extension possible)
Rate: £85 per hour (umbrella)
Clearance: Must be able to achieve SC
About the role
Lead the development and delivery of an RF data link within a weapons system programme, providing technical leadership to a small team of engineers on complex, cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities
- Requirements definition and management
- Technical leadership of junior engineers
- Managing suppliers and customer stakeholders
- Leading design reviews and supporting validation
- Managing project deliverables and technical risks
About you
- Able to achieve SC clearance
- Understanding of RF communication principles
- Formal systems engineering knowledge
- Experience leading a small engineering team
- Strong communication skills
- Defence or aerospace background ideal, other industries considered
Working pattern: 4-5 days on site, with some UK and potential European travel.
