Our client, a leading organisation in the procurement sector, is seeking a talented Procurement Operations Analyst to join their dynamic Procurement Operations team. This initial 6-month contract is designed to provide crucial support during a period of increased analytical workload and resource constraints. If you have a flair for data and a passion for procurement, this role could be the perfect fit!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce regular and ad hoc procurement reports using data from procurement systems and Power BI.

  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support the development and enhancement of procurement reporting requirements.

  • Maintain and improve procurement data quality by identifying root causes of data issues and supporting corrective actions.

  • Assist in standardising and governing procurement data sets across the wider procurement function.

  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of reporting processes.

  • Generate insights and recommendations from complex data and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

  • Support monthly spend reporting, procurement leadership reporting, rebate management activities, and other operational reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with procurement category teams, business partners, procurement leadership, and system providers.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.

  • Experience working with large data sets and producing meaningful insights.

  • Ability to translate complex information into clear reports and recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Proven experience creating management reports and dashboards.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or procurement operations.

  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.

  • Understanding of procurement reporting, spend analysis, supplier management data, or rebate processes.

  • Exposure to data automation, reporting enhancements, or AI-enabled process improvements.

Candidate Profile:

The hiring manager is open to diverse sector backgrounds and does not require extensive procurement experience. The priority is to find a candidate with strong analytical capabilities, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. While procurement knowledge is advantageous, strong data analysis and reporting skills are the key requirements.

  • Predominantly remote working with occasional travel to the Hook office as required.

  • Teams-based interview process.
