Are you passionate about giving children the very best start to their school journey?

At Chapel Break Infant School in Norwich, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, curiosity, connection and joy. We are looking for a caring, creative and enthusiastic Early Years teacher to join our team in Reception from January 2027.

If you believe that happy, secure children are the best placed to learn, that relationships are at the heart of education, and that learning should be meaningful, memorable and full of possibility, we would love to hear from you!

A little about us

In Reception, we embrace the Hygge approach, creating a calm, nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to explore the world around them. We put the child first, always, recognising that wellbeing is fundamental to learning and development.

We also believe that wellbeing matters just as much for the adults as it does for the children. We value positive relationships, a supportive team culture and an approach to school life that enables everyone to flourish.

Our learning is brought to life through immersive projects. We create rich, engaging experiences that spark children’s imaginations, encourage curiosity and allow them to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding through purposeful, hands-on learning. We want our children to be excited to come to school, eager to discover and confident to have a go.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Puts children’s needs, happiness and wellbeing at the heart of every decision.
  • Is passionate about Early Years education and understands the importance of play, exploration and strong relationships.
  • Enjoys creating imaginative, immersive learning experiences that inspire young minds.
  • Brings warmth, creativity, enthusiasm and a nurturing approach to the classroom.
  • Is reflective, keen to develop their practice and excited to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) taking your first steps into the profession, we warmly welcome your application. We are looking for the right person: someone who shares our values and wants to make a genuine difference to children’s early experiences of school.

Why join Chapel Break Infant School?

This is an opportunity to be part of a school that values the whole child, celebrates the magic of early childhood and recognises that meaningful learning begins with feeling safe, connected and cared for.

You will have the opportunity to nurture children’s curiosity, create memorable learning experiences and help lay the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

Ready to join us?

If our approach to Early Years education resonates with you, we would love to hear from you. Early applications encouraged.

Come and help us create a Reception experience where children feel they belong, wellbeing comes first and every day offers something wonderful to discover.

Chapel Break Infant School – putting children first, nurturing wellbeing and inspiring a love of learning.
