Maintenance Engineer – Welshpool

• Location: Welshpool
• Pay Rate: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, rotating double days 6:00am – 2:00pm (week one) / 1:30pm – 9:30pm (week two)
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Welshpool. This role would suit a reliable and safety-conscious individual who enjoys driving, takes pride in delivering excellent service and can work effectively as part of a team.

Due to continued investment and business growth, our client is looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join their established team.

Key Responsibilities

• Playing a key role in keeping the production facility running efficiently, safely and reliably.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault-finding, diagnosing issues and completing repairs.
• Responding to machinery breakdowns across the site.
• Maintaining automated production and packaging machinery.
• Performing general maintenance on site services and plant equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and engineering standards.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Engineer who can work safely, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults and represent the company professionally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum Level 2 in an engineering discipline.
• Ideally multi-skilled across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Previous experience within food manufacturing would be advantageous.
