Manufacturing Engineer

Morson are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to be based in Portsmouth. This role is working on behalf of our aerospace clients, on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Role Responsibilities

• Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.
• Maximizes efficiency by analysing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
• Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
• Helps improve manufacturing line and product cost savings.
• Uses 3D CAD to generate 3D CAD models.

Experience Required

• Manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledge of LEAN Principles.
• Experience with 3D CAD to generate 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Experience, and ability to show proven capabilities in the field or in a related area.
• Works under immediate supervision and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Drug Screening required.

Day shift standard hours 08:00 – 16:45
