About the role

About May Park Primary School

May Park Primary School is a 3-11 community academy in East Central Bristol and a proud member of the Excalibur Academies Trust. We are diverse and vibrant three form entry primary school with a stimulating nursery set in fantastic grounds. Our modern, purpose-built buildings and our extensive outdoor space enable our children unique opportunities to use their creative minds as they explore the woods, Savannah, field and multi-use games area.

At May Park our highly experienced teachers and staff are committed to providing a nurturing environment so that all of our children succeed. By offering an inspiring curriculum, we expect our children to think differently: taking risks with their learning, embracing uncertainty, problem solving, making connections and playing with possibilities.

As part of Excalibur Academies Trust, we benefit from shared expertise and strong governance, whilst maintaining our own unique identity, values and deep community focus.

The Role

Hours: Full time and part time (0.8) will be considered

Temporary until 31st August 2027

We are a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming school where every child is encouraged to flourish, develop a love of learning and achieve their full potential. With our incredible school grounds, including a large woodland area, we have a fantastic opportunity to place outdoor learning at the heart of children’s experiences, helping them to explore, discover, build confidence and develop a lifelong connection with the natural world.

You will have the opportunity to make the most of our unique outdoor environment, delivering engaging, child-centred Forest School experiences that nurture curiosity, resilience, independence and teamwork. Working alongside our experienced, dedicated and supportive team, you will help create memorable learning opportunities that enable every child to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about outdoor learning, committed to inclusion and excited by the possibilities that our woodland environment offers. If you want to make a real difference to children’s lives and help them learn, grow and flourish beyond the classroom, we would love to hear from you!
