CNC Turner
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: Up to £20 an hour
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Rota: Mon-Fri – DAYS ONLY
The Role – CNC Turner
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business supplying a range of highly regulated and technically demanding industries.
This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who can independently programme, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, productivity and on-time delivery whilst contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop. A strong background in CNC turning is essential, along with proven CNC programming experience.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Turner
- Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out machine set-ups and prove out new jobs.
- Ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Minimise scrap and maximise material utilisation.
- Complete all production and quality documentation accurately.
Requirements – CNC Turner
- Essential: Previous CNC Turning experience.
- Essential: Ability to programme CNC turning machines.
- Essential: Ability to set and operate CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Strong understanding of quality procedures and inspection techniques.
