Performing Arts is returning to Yeovil College — and this is your chance to help shape what comes next. This new, part-time role offers the opportunity to develop our Festival Production and Performing Arts curriculum, bringing your industry expertise, ideas and connections into education. With a new flagship building and state-of-the-art facilities on the way, you'll help create programmes that give students the skills and experience they need to succeed in the creative industries.

As our Performing Arts Study Programme Manager, you'll work closely with creative organisations, employers and industry partners to understand where the sector is heading and turn emerging skills needs into relevant, engaging study programmes across areas such as dance, music, drama, acting and directing. You'll develop industry networks, create opportunities for employer engagement and help ensure our curriculum reflects the realities of the industry today. It's a chance to stay connected to your profession, share your expertise and play a key role in building the future of Performing Arts at Yeovil College — all within a part-time role.

What we're looking for:

Industry expertise – strong knowledge of the Performing Arts sector, with experience in at least one area such as Dance, Music, Drama, Acting or Directing.

Curriculum development – experience developing relevant, industry-focused curriculum and building links with employers and sector stakeholders.

Teaching & student support – experience of teaching or tutoring students, with a passion for learning and high expectations of student achievement.

Relevant qualifications – a degree or qualification in Performing Arts, plus a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.

Creative & collaborative – able to develop engaging resources, use initiative, work effectively as part of a team and communicate confidently with students, colleagues and employers.

Organised & flexible – able to manage competing priorities, work accurately under pressure and support occasional evening or weekend activity such as Open Days and events.

What we offer:

Annual Salary: £15,483 to £19,958

Part-time position, 18.5 hours per week, all year round.

35 days holiday FTE (plus Christmas closure & bank holidays)

Generous pension scheme of 28.68% employer contributions
