Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established accountancy practice based in North London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Client Manager to join a professional and supportive team, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.

The position offers a broad mix of accounting, taxation and client advisory responsibilities, making it particularly appealing to someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing their own workload and delivering a high standard of client service.

Key responsibilities of the Client Manager will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing practical accounting and financial advice.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and providing guidance where required.
• Liaising with Partners and senior colleagues on client matters and technical queries.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and support clients with their business needs.
  
  

The successful Client Manager will have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach with excellent attention to detail.
