Support Worker - Scottish Islands

🌟 3-Month Block Booking Contracts: Work & Live in the Scottish Islands! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Looking for guaranteed high hours, excellent pay, and an incredible change of scenery? We're recruiting Care Home and Community Care at Home Support Workers for 3-month placements across Scotland's most beautiful island locations!

Open to candidates anywhere in the UK willing to travel for the placement!

• Islands: Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, or Argyll & Bute

• Pay Rate: £23/hr (Flat Rate - Umbrella)

• Contract: 3-month minimum

• Hours: 45+ hours per week (5-6 days/week)

Option 1: Care Home Support Worker

• Role: Provide high-quality residential care for older adults.

• Shifts: Long days (07:00-22:00), split shifts (07:00-15:00), or night shifts (22:00-07:00).

• Driving: Driving license preferred (helps with travel from accommodation to service).

• Experience: Care home experience preferred.

Option 2: Community Support Worker (Care at Home)

• Role: Conduct multiple daily home visits to support adults in their own residences.

• Shifts: Varied coverage between 07:00-23:00.

• Driving: Valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are mandatory (UK license required for Orkney).

• Experience: Home care experience preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of UK care experience supporting older adults.

• Competent in personal care, medication administration, and safe moving & handling.

• Confident working independently (lone working).

• Prior experience in island or remote settings is a strong advantage.

• Note: Female support workers are currently preferred due to service user preferences, though male candidates may be considered depending on placement.
