BI Developer (12-18 month FTC)

London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) | £50,000 – £60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BI Developer to join a growing data consultancy on a fixed-term contract. They work with complex data environments, supporting clients with data integration, business intelligence, and data platform development.

The Role

• As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions across a range of client projects.
• Responsibilities include:
• Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data integration processes
• Writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
• Building and enhancing semantic and tabular data models
• Supporting SSAS cube development and DAX calculations
• Applying dimensional modelling and data warehousing best practices
• Collaborating with business and data analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Investigating data issues and supporting users with technical queries
• Contributing to testing, quality assurance, and solution design activities
• Working within a consultancy environment where priorities and requirements can evolve

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with SQL Server and T-SQL development
• Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
• Experience working with semantic models, tabular models, star schemas, Kimball methodologies, or similar data modelling approaches
• Exposure to SSAS, DAX, and BI solution development
• Experience working across different data architectures and technology environments
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
• Python development or scripting experience
• Azure data platform exposure
• Consultancy or client-facing project delivery experience
