Are you a caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistant looking for flexible day shift opportunities?

ASA Recruitment is looking for experienced female Care Assistants to support a client’s care homes in Edinburgh. (In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9)

Working as a Care Assistant is about more than completing daily tasks. It’s about providing person-centred care, offering reassurance, encouraging independence and making a genuine difference to residents’ everyday lives.

Your Role

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities while maintaining residents’ dignity, privacy and independence.
• Build positive relationships through friendly conversation, meaningful interaction and compassionate support.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities, hobbies and social opportunities suited to their interests and abilities.
• Assist with mobility and moving and handling, using appropriate equipment where required.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ wellbeing, behaviour or presentation.
• Support residents with meals, hydration and general comfort throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver safe, consistent and high-quality care.

The Successful Candidates

• Previous experience in a UK care home or adult social care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents.
• A caring, patient and approachable manner, with a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
• The ability to promote independence, dignity and meaningful engagement.
• Reliability, flexibility and confidence working as part of a team.
• A current PVG or willingness to apply.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
