The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

The post is rotational through the pre-treatment and treatment sections of the department. You must be registered with the HCPC.

Graduate radiographers will be supported to develop skills and competencies which will allow them to operate as autonomous practitioners with limited supervision of their clinical work. In accordance with Agenda for Change Annex 20, skills to perform autonomously at Band 6 level must be developed within 12 to 24 months after starting employment at Band 5 level.

The Radiotherapy Department currently houses three Varian linear accelerators, one Canon Aquillion Wide Bore CT scanner, mould room facilities, HDR brachytherapy facilities and Raystation treatment planning system. We are a paper light department currently expanding our use of SABR and IGRT as well as having an exciting programme of equipment replacement and planning system upgrades over the next year.
