What is the job role?

Sherbourne Fields is an outstanding all age special school for pupils with a broad spectrum of need including physical disabilities, medical conditions and learning needs. The school’s population is wide ranging and diverse, with 266 pupils from a rich mix of social and cultural backgrounds.  

We are looking to recruit a positive, patient and friendly casual driver to join our small team of dedicated drivers here at Sherbourne Fields. Initially, this will be a zero-hours contract, with the possibility of progressing into a permanent driver position in the future.
 

As one of our casual minibus drivers your role will be to cover during sickness absence, transporting pupils to and from school making sure they are safe and secure throughout their journey. In addition, you will be expected to assist with driving duties for school trips taking place throughout the school day. You would also be supported by an experienced minibus Escort.
