About the Role

Are you a qualified, passionate chef looking for a better work-life balance while delivering hotel- and restaurant-standard dining?

As the Second Chef at Lethen Park Care Home, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills using fresh, seasonal produce. You will assist the Head Chef in crafting nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus, working closely with residents to ensure person-centred hospitality.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence

• Assisting the Head Chef with menu development and tailoring choices around residents

• Preparing wholesome, high-quality dishes cooked from scratch

• Conducting regular audits, managing stock control, and working within budget

• Creating a warm, efficient, and fun environment for residents and colleagues alike

About You

To join us as Second Chef, you will need:

• A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing

• City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary qualifications

• Experience working with fresh seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition

• Confidence engaging with residents to create appetising menus

• Good understanding of HACCP compliance
