Interim Finance Director – Refinancing & FP&A

We’re supporting an operationally complex business working across the consumer, retail and technology supply chain, seeking an immediately available Finance Director to support a refinancing and strengthen financial planning.

This is a hands-on appointment with clear priorities: help progress the refinancing, build robust financial forecasts and give senior leadership a dependable view of cash, funding requirements and financial headroom.

The role

• Support the refinancing process, working with lenders and advisers and coordinating financial information, due diligence and supporting analysis.

• Build and improve integrated financial models covering profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.

• Lead forecasting and scenario planning, translating assumptions into clear funding requirements.

• Strengthen short-term cash visibility and working capital management.

• Provide practical financial challenge and recommendations to support business decisions.

The person

You’ll be an experienced Finance Director or senior finance professional with direct experience of refinancing, ideally involving asset-based lending. You must be comfortable building models yourself, managing lender requirements and turning detailed analysis into clear actions.

Experience in businesses with significant working capital requirements—such as distribution, wholesale, retail, manufacturing or business services—would be particularly relevant.

We’re looking for someone proactive, commercially minded and delivery focused, with the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and the willingness to get into the detail.

Immediate availability and the ability to work on site in Bristol 4 days per week are essential. The appointment will begin on an interim basis, with the potential to become permanent.
