Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – either 6:00am–1:20pm or 8:00am–3:30pm

The Opportunity: 

We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a specialist manufacturing environment producing high-performance polymer products used in anchoring, bonding and repair applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills to take responsibility for maintaining site machinery, equipment and infrastructure. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability and ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery, equipment and site infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out effective fault-finding and repairs.
• Undertake welding, fabrication and general engineering maintenance tasks.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections and repairs.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery and equipment remain operational.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with practical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently while supporting wider production and engineering teams.
