From resolving queries to improving processes, this is an opportunity to combine your organisational skills with meaningful responsibility.

Whether your background is in security vetting, compliance, HR administration or another regulated environment, you’ll bring an eye for detail, sound judgement and a commitment to supporting people.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • A 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday – enjoy your weekends and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Hybrid working with a Belfast office base, combining flexibility with time to collaborate.
  • Ownership and variety, with responsibility for clearance activities across the business.
  • Opportunities to develop specialist knowledge across security clearance and vetting processes.
  • Career development and progression opportunities within Sodexo.
  • Sodexo Rewards and wellbeing support for you and your family.

Your role

Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, you’ll manage the end-to-end security clearance process and act as the main point of contact for applicants and stakeholders.

You’ll keep applications progressing, maintain reliable records and provide clear updates so teams can plan with confidence. You’ll also identify ways to make the service more efficient while ensuring sensitive information is handled with care and discretion.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the clearance journey – coordinate applications, renewals, transfers and amendments from submission through to completion.
  • Keep documentation accurate – review submissions for completeness and compliance, resolving gaps and queries promptly.
  • Support applicants and stakeholders – provide clear guidance to employees, contractors, consultants and managers, and liaise with external vetting authorities.
  • Stay ahead of deadlines – monitor application progress, clearance expiry dates and renewals, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Maintain reliable records and reporting – keep databases up to date and produce management information to support compliance and operational planning.
  • Coordinate mandatory security training and maintain accurate completion records.
  • Improve the service – identify practical ways to strengthen processes, procedures and the applicant experience.
  • Protect sensitive information in line with GDPR, data protection and information security requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in security clearance, vetting, compliance, HR administration or a similar regulated environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail when reviewing documents, maintaining records and preparing reports.
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to resolving problems and improving processes.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

Security clearance is a requirement of this role. You will need to complete the relevant documentation, and any offer of employment will be conditional on successfully obtaining the required clearance.
