Job Vacancy: Assembly Packer

Location: Newhaven
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Experience: Previous packing experience essential

Job Description

We are currently recruiting experienced Production Packers to join a busy manufacturing facility in Newhaven. This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working on a fast-paced production or assembly line who can maintain high standards of accuracy while working to hourly targets.

The successful candidates will be responsible for packing finished products securely, preparing packaging materials and ensuring all items are checked and ready for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing products weighing between 4kg and 18kg.

• Working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment, achieving targets of 30 units per hour or more.

• Making up boxes and assembling internal cardboard packaging components to keep up with the production line.

• Ensuring products are packed correctly and securely to prevent damage during transit.

• Stacking finished products safely and correctly onto pallets.

• Checking serial numbers against the corresponding product labels to ensure accuracy.

• Ensuring all required parts and accessories are included with each unit before dispatch.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Following all company procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Packer in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly line environment is essential.

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work at pace and consistently meet production targets without compromising quality.

• Physically capable of handling products weighing up to 18kg.

• Experience assembling boxes and internal packaging components.

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• A positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions.

Important Safety Requirement

Safety shoes are compulsory at all times within the factory. Candidates must provide their own safety shoes, as these cannot be supplied by the company.

What We Offer

• Competitive pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

• Weekly Pay

• A consistent four-day working week, Monday to Thursday.

• Day shifts from 7:00am to 4:00pm.
