Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning and floor care
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate products and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Use janitorial equipment effectively for tasks like vacuuming, window washing, and surface disinfecting
• Follow manual handling guidelines when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture to prevent injury
• Communicate professionally with clients about their cleaning needs and address any special requests or concerns

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial background preferred
• Strong knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation practices, and surface care techniques
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments promptly
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and prolonged standing or walking
• Customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction through professional communication and reliable service
• Experience with floor care including polishing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of housekeeping management principles for maintaining organized work areas
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
