Electronics Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot specialist electronic systems used in marine and shore-based environments. This is a field-based role involving regular UK and international travel, working directly with customers to ensure equipment operates reliably and meets technical requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, test and troubleshoot electronic equipment and systems.

Carry out on-site service visits, fault-finding and acceptance testing.

Provide technical support and customer training.

Complete service reports and communicate technical issues to the engineering team.

Support customers remotely when working from the office.

 

Key Skills

Experience in field service, maintenance or technical support engineering.

Background in electronics, electrical engineering, radar, navigation, communications or similar systems.

Ability to read technical manuals and diagnose faults.

Basic computer hardware, software and networking knowledge.

Full UK driving licence and valid passport.

Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice.

 ONC, HNC or equivalent technical qualification is desirable but not essential.
