Machine Operator – Three-Shift Rotation – Halesowen

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join our well-established client based in Halesowen on an ongoing basis.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Skilled Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Production Operative or Steel Production Operative.

£13.25–£14.25 Per Hour | Ongoing Work | Weekly Pay | Rotating Shifts | Career Progression

Shifts

 • Weekly rotating three-shift pattern – shifts are not fixed
 • AM: 06:00–14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00–12:00 Friday
 • PM: 14:00–22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:00–18:00 Friday
 • Nights: 22:00–06:00 Monday to Thursday and 18:00–00:00 Friday

Rates of Pay

 • £13.25 per hour – AM and PM shifts
 • £14.25 per hour – Night shifts

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Machine Operator, your duties will include:

 • Operating machinery within a steel production environment safely and efficiently
 • Loading and unloading machinery
 • Monitoring production processes and machine performance
 • Carrying out manual handling duties as required
 • Supporting the movement of goods around the production area
 • Conducting basic quality checks on finished products
 • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
 • Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Machine Operator, you will need:

 • Previous machine operating experience, ideally within the steel industry
 • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
 • Ability to carry out manual handling duties
 • Good reliability and a strong work ethic
 • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • Strong attention to detail
 • Commitment to health and safety standards
