Electronics Technical Lead

Lead electronic sub-system design in the defence & aerospace sector, taking complex engineering products from concept through to production. This opportunity offers technical leadership responsibility across the full product lifecycle.

Where you will work
The role is based in Hertfordshire with a hybrid working arrangement (3 day per week on site). This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers delivering electronic sub-system design and technical definition.
• Guide development from early feasibility and technology assessment through detailed design, qualification and certification.
• Support the transition of products into production, ensuring quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
• Work with manufacturing, mechanical design and other engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain progress.
• Coordinate technical activities, manage stakeholders and oversee delivery against agreed plans and budgets.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of technical requirements, product configuration and lifecycle management.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate engineers while managing competing priorities.
• Experience planning and controlling engineering work packages, budgets and delivery schedules.
• Confidence working with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and other business functions.
• A relevant degree is desirable, alongside substantial experience in electronic design and product development.
• British nationality is required for this opportunity.
