Duty Manager (Sunday) (Part Time, Fixed Term)

The role

As we expand our library availability with a new Sunday service, we are seeking a Duty Manager to oversee operations, maintain high service standards, and foster an environment where all members of our community feel supported and included. The role is available for Sundays only, for 5 hours, and is temporary until January 2028.

As Duty Manager you will
Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to customer service team members during Sunday opening.
Ensure the needs of Library users are consistently met or exceeded.
Take a proactive, flexible approach to operational problem-solving and service quality.
Monitor customer satisfaction and feed into continuous service improvement.

What we are looking for
Strong background in customer-focused service delivery for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience in team leadership, coaching, or supervision.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience within the library or information sector preferred.
