About the role

Rural Surveyor

West Norfolk | Hybrid Working | Clear Route to Partnership

An established and highly regarded rural property consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Rural Surveyor as part of its continued growth.

Based in West Norfolk, the practice advises an impressive portfolio of estates, farmers, landowners and rural businesses across East Anglia. This is a senior-level opportunity offering considerable autonomy, broad client exposure and the chance to play an influential role in the future direction of an independent firm.

The Opportunity

The position would suit a Chartered Rural Surveyor who is ready to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the continued development of the business.

You may already be working at Associate or Partner level, or you could be an ambitious surveyor with the experience and commercial awareness to take the next step. Either way, there is a genuine and clearly defined route to Partnership for the right individual.

With succession planning firmly in mind, the firm is looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career and become an important part of its future leadership.

The Role

The practice provides a wide range of rural property services and can shape the position around your particular expertise, experience and interests.

Your work could include:

  • Estate and rural property management
  • Valuation and rural professional services
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Agency, sales and land transactions
  • Farm business consultancy
  • Environmental and agri-environment schemes
  • Strategic development
  • Compulsory purchase and compensation
  • Renewable energy and diversification projects

Whether your experience is centred on estate management, rural professional work or a specialist area such as renewables, there is flexibility to build upon your strengths while developing new areas of expertise.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • A genuine pathway to Partnership
  • Significant autonomy and responsibility
  • The opportunity to influence the future direction of the practice
  • A varied and high-quality rural client base
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • A friendly, professional and collaborative team
  • Long-term career development within a successful independent business

About You

You will ideally be:

  • MRICS qualified, or hold an equivalent professional qualification
  • An experienced rural property professional
  • Commercially aware and focused on delivering an excellent client service
  • Confident in building and maintaining trusted client relationships
  • Comfortable taking ownership of work and contributing to business development
  • Interested in a long-term career with the potential to progress to Partnership

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Rural Surveyor seeking more than simply their next position. It offers the scope to develop a senior role, influence the growth of the business and establish a lasting career within a respected East Anglian practice.
