Production Supervisor – Metalwork | Basildon
Salary: £48,443 per annum
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Permanent, Full-Time

Noble Recruiting is seeking an experienced Metalwork Supervisor to join a modern, growing manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior workshop supervisor with a strong background in bespoke metal fabrication and architectural metalwork to lead production operations, manage a skilled team and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily metal fabrication workshop operations.
• Manage production schedules, workflow, labour and project deadlines.
• Lead, motivate and provide technical guidance to fabrication teams.
• Interpret engineering drawings and resolve fabrication challenges.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets architectural specifications.
• Maintain and enforce workshop health and safety standards.
• Liaise with design, production and distribution teams.

Skills & Experience

• Recent supervisory experience within a metal fabrication or metalworks manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, structural metalwork and MIG/TIG welding.
• Experience with metal forming, finishing and assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Proven leadership and workshop management skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in bespoke or high-end architectural metalwork is highly desirable.
