About the role
Shape the Future of Education. Lead with Purpose. Deliver Lasting Impact.
Are you an exceptional finance leader ready to influence the future of education across a growing and ambitious Multi Academy Trust?
We are looking for an outstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in ensuring that every financial decision supports better outcomes for children and young people. This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership, corporate governance and executive influence within a values-driven Catholic organisation. This is particularly exciting as we are preparing to merge with a sister Trust of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
As CFO, you will be the Trust's most senior financial professional, working closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees and school leaders to deliver long-term financial sustainability, support growth opportunities and ensure the highest standards of stewardship, accountability and value for money.
As Company Secretary, you will act as a trusted adviser to the Board, ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance and effective decision-making across the Trust.
Why Join Us?
This is far more than a traditional finance role.
You will:
- Be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, influencing strategic decisions across the Trust.
- Lead the financial strategy for a complex and evolving organisation.
- Drive innovation, efficiency and value for money across our schools.
- Support Trust growth, merger and expansion projects.
- Work closely with Trustees, senior leaders and external partners.
- Develop and lead a professional finance team while helping shape the future of Catholic education.
- Make a tangible difference to pupils, communities and schools every day.
About You
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with significant senior leadership experience and a proven track record of strategic financial management, governance and organisational leadership. You will be comfortable advising boards, influencing stakeholders and translating complex financial information into clear strategic insight.
Benefits we offer
Membership of the generous Local Government Pension Scheme;
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements;
A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme;
Ongoing professional development and opportunities to further develop your expertise;
A professional, supportive and collaborative central team;
A commitment to staff wellbeing, as set out in our Staff Charter.
A relocation package is available for successful candidates who currently live outside of East Anglia.
Join a Trust with Purpose
If you are looking for a role where your expertise will shape strategy, strengthen governance and directly support the success of schools and pupils, we would love to hear from you.
Apply now and help us build a financially strong and sustainable future for our schools and communities.
