Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience

An expanding fire and security systems business is looking for a skilled Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded engineer to work on varied projects, take ownership of commissioning activities and develop their career within a supportive business.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and test fire alarm, security and TECS systems.

• Carry out fault-finding, troubleshooting and electrical testing.

• Work closely with design and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Ensure systems meet relevant industry standards and regulations.

• Complete client handovers and provide technical support as required.

About You

• Strong commissioning and electrical engineering skills.

• Experience in electrical testing, verification and fault-finding.

• Knowledge of fire and security systems and relevant standards.

• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.

• Relevant electrical or technical qualifications.

• Fire and security industry experience preferred but not essential.
