Leigh Academy Hundred of Hoo is looking for an Assistant Principal- Inclusion to join its leadership team in the Primary Phase. This is a truly rare leadership opportunity within a very successful and financially sound, mature and geographically local multi-academy trust that combines management freedom for effective leaders with secure central support that encourages collaboration for success. This role, based within our thriving primary academy, includes a teaching responsibility.

Joining Leigh Academies Trust will enable you to work alongside like-minded colleagues who share your goals, vision, and ambitions. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the continued development of the primary phase as an outstanding provider of education, building upon our already high standards and exceptional quality of learning. You will lead on the Inclusion strategy to ensure we provide outstanding educational opportunities for all pupils through creative, carefully sequenced, and highly effective lines of inquiry where every learner is at the very heart of driving our curriculum.

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated professional with a proven track record of strategic leadership, exceptional management, and raising standards within a primary setting. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader who can foster a positive, nurturing culture where every child - regardless of their background or individual needs - is empowered to thrive, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with the Principal, wider leadership team, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.

In addition to key strategic and leadership responsibilities, this position includes a teaching element, where you will model exceptional classroom practice and support pupils through their primary education journey.

We wish to hear from you if you are committed to changing our education world and are:

  • an enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious school leader with a track record of success at primary level;
  • a motivational and inspirational leader with high expectations of staff and pupils;
  • confident and able to communicate a clear vision for the academy;
  • able to develop children to reach their full potential regardless of background or circumstance;
  • approachable and keen to work with staff across the Trust to ensure wide success;
  • able to establish and develop excellent relationships with the community and other stakeholders.
