The Role: What you will do?

Have you considered training in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and getting paid to make a real difference?

If so, our Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner programme could be the role for you!

Here at Vita Health Group, we support each of our trainees to become confident, patient-focused clinicians. We work with you to develop your clinical skills throughout your course, celebrating your successes and encouraging your professional development.

Getting to know Us

As we continue to develop and enhance NHS Talking Therapies across Nottinghamshire, we are seeking talented and forward-thinking clinicians to help shape our future and contribute to high-quality patient care.

The Role

We're excited to offer places for aspiring Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our Nottinghamshire Talking Therapies service as Trainee PWPs, commencing with the March 2027 cohort at the University of Lincoln.

In this role, you will provide Low Intensity CBT-based interventions whilst undertaking the PGCert/Cert Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner delivered by the University of Lincoln commencing in March 2027. This training post will equip you with the skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based treatment to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

You will be joining a motivated team of mental health professionals and experienced supervisors, who will support you to complete both your academic study and your clinical delivery.

A typical working week includes 4 days of clinical practice with the service and 1 day attending university. University days will consist of face to face training so you must be able to attend in person each week.

Whilst your clinical practice is likely to include some remote working, you will be required to attend one of the Nottingham offices for part of the week.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months. After completing the training and becoming a qualified PWP, there may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent post and contribute to an experienced and innovative service.
