Multi-Drop Van Driver – Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Multi-Drop Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, a minimum of eight paid hours per shift, Monday to Friday working, weekly pay and overtime opportunities, with the chance to develop your experience transporting high-value technical equipment.

£13.54 Per Hour | £18.01 Overtime | Minimum 8 Hours’ Pay | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | 6am–7am Starts

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, Courier Driver or Commercial Delivery Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • Start times between 6:00am and 7:00am
 • Flexible working hours

Rates of Pay

 • £13.54 per hour – basic rate
 • £18.01 per hour – overtime rate
 • Minimum eight hours’ pay per shift
 • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Multi-Drop Van Driver, your duties will include:

 • Safely operating a 3.5-tonne van to transport high-value technical equipment
 • Completing deliveries between designated locations
 • Loading, unloading and handling equipment carefully to prevent damage
 • Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
 • Carrying out daily vehicle checks, including tyres, lights and fuel levels
 • Reporting delays, vehicle defects or maintenance requirements to the operations team
 • Following all road traffic legislation and company safety procedures
 • Communicating effectively with the transport team and delivery locations

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Multi-Drop Van Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
 • Minimum 12 months’ experience driving Category B vehicles
 • No more than six penalty points for minor driving offences
 • No major driving endorsement codes
 • Good knowledge of the UK road network
 • Good spoken and written English
 • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
 • Good understanding of road traffic legislation and vehicle safety
 • Reliable and professional approach to work
 • Strong communication and organisational skills
 • Ability to handle high-value equipment carefully and responsibly

Desirable Experience

 • Previous multi-drop delivery experience
 • Experience transporting or delivering high-value goods
 • Previous experience working as a Courier or Commercial Delivery Driver

Training Provided

 • Full training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
