Job Description

Provide Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 class at a primary school in the DN4 area of Doncaster.

This is a full-time opportunity starting on Monday 2nd November 2026, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills during the upper primary years.

The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support classroom learning, encourage pupil engagement and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Year 5 pupils with classroom learning and daily activities.
• Work alongside the class teacher to reinforce learning and encourage pupil progress.
• Provide individual and small-group support where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour, participation and independence.
• Help pupils remain focused and engaged in lessons.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and educational development.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2.
• Be enthusiastic, patient and supportive.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
• Be proactive in supporting pupils with different learning needs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
