What’s the Role About?

• Providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities.
• Building trusting relationships through positive communication, encouragement and meaningful interaction.
• Supporting daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, medication and household tasks.
• Developing independence through everyday life skills, choice and decision-making.
• Encouraging participation in hobbies, social activities and the wider community.
• Following individual support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and wider support teams.

Who We’re Looking For

• .Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a relevant care or support role is essential
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, complex needs or similar support requirements is highly desirable.
• A compassionate, patient and dependable approach, with strong communication skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships and encourage independence.
• Confidence working in different settings, including community environments and lone working where required.
• The ability to work independently while recognising when to seek guidance.
• Current PVG membership or willingness to undertake the required checks.
