About the Business Development Executive job

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Seafood Development Executive to drive profitable sales growth across Southern UK. The successful candidate will have a proven track record within the frozen seafood industry, with experience selling to wholesalers, distributors, processors, manufacturers and foodservice operators. They will combine strong commercial acumen, industry knowledge and relationship-building skills to develop existing accounts and secure new business opportunities.

Key tasks

• Develop sales with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Manage relationships with seafood wholesalers, frozen food distributors, processors, manufacturers and foodservice customers.
• Achieve sales, margin and growth targets in line with company objectives.
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations and business reviews.
• Identify market trends, product opportunities and customer requirements.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and support profitable account growth.
• Attend trade exhibitions and industry events.
• Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to management.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's seafood category and customer offering.

About You

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the frozen seafood sector.
• Proven success in seafood sales and business development within the UK market.
• Strong network of contacts within the UK frozen seafood industry.
• Excellent knowledge of frozen fish and seafood products, specifications and applications.
• Strong commercial awareness with effective negotiation and account management skills.
• Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing a remote territory.
• Full clean driving licence.

More details

The Business Development Executive job is Homebased (South UK) and is paying £45,000 - £55,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 15% performance bonus and car/car allowance.

The working hours are Monday - Friday.
