About the role
Ready for an Account Director role where great client relationships are only the start? Join a small, growing Bristol-based strategy and creative agency helping organisations make change practical, engaging and lasting. You’ll get under the skin of clients’ businesses, spot where you can make a bigger difference and bring talented strategists, creatives and project managers together to make it happen. Expect variety, plenty of collaboration and the chance to help shape an ambitious agency as it grows.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take the lead on a portfolio of client accounts, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and getting to know what makes their organisations tick. Then you’ll turn that insight into opportunities to grow the partnership, tackle new challenges and bring in repeat business.
From lively client conversations and presentations to reviews and working sessions, you’ll help keep everyone focused on the real business challenge. You’ll shape proposals and team up with strategists, creatives and project managers to build thoughtful solutions—not just tick off a list of deliverables.
You’ll keep a close eye on forecasting, profitability, scope and account health, working with project managers to make the journey from first idea to delivery feel seamless. You’ll champion the client’s perspective while looking after the agency’s interests and quality, pitch in on relevant new business and help the team find even better ways to build lasting client relationships.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Proven experience as an Account Director, managing complex client accounts and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Commercial confidence, including identifying and developing growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Experience working with substantial budgets and large, complex organisations.
- Clear, confident communication and the ability to present, influence and stand by your professional judgement.
- Strong proposal-writing skills and an understanding of account forecasting, profitability and scope.
- A collaborative approach to working with creative, strategy and project teams.
- Experience in internal communications is especially useful, alongside familiarity with HR, transformation or behaviour change.
- Based within a practical journey of Bristol, so you can join the team in person when it’s useful.
What you’ll get in return for your experience
The starting salary is £55,000, with scope to consider candidates seeking more where their experience warrants it. The role offers flexible hybrid working within their Bristol based studio. You’ll receive equipment to support your home working, plus access to an office and co-working spaces. The package includes an annual development fund, private healthcare after six months, a birthday day off, a company pension and an annual bonus if the business performs well. You’ll join a small, ambitious team where you can make your mark, bring ideas to the table and help the agency grow.
